Private use

videhs-server-backup-restic is a private utility operated to back up one self-managed server to its operator's Google Drive. It is not offered as a public service and has no public accounts or support for other users. Do not authorize the app unless you are its intended operator.

Google Drive access

The app uses Google's drive.file permission to create and manage the backup files it uses. Google's services remain subject to Google's own terms. You can revoke the app's Google access from your Google Account settings.

Backups and restores

Backup jobs can fail because of expired authorization, network or server problems, or other errors. The operator is responsible for checking backup status, keeping the account and encryption password available, and periodically verifying that needed data can be restored. Revoking access stops future jobs; it does not automatically remove backups already in Google Drive.

These terms may be updated when the utility or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. Questions can be sent to the support email shown on the app's Google consent screen.
